Help & FAQ

How can we help?

Quick answers to the things people ask most. Still stuck? Reach out at the bottom of the page.

Nothing is showing on the map — what's wrong?

Nook needs a location fix to show what's near you. Check that location permission is enabled in iOS Settings, then pull the map to a different area. If an area simply has no listed events yet, you'll see a note saying so — try zooming out.

How do I add an event to my calendar?

Open any event and tap Calendar. Choose Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, and Nook fills in the title, time, place, and details for you. It only ever adds the event — it never reads your existing calendar.

How do I get directions to an event?

Tap Directions on the event page and Nook opens the venue in your maps app so you can navigate there straight away.

Which languages does Nook support?

Seven: English, Ukrainian, Polish, German, Italian, French, and Spanish. Nook follows your device language automatically.

Is Nook really free? Any ads or accounts?

Yes, Nook is free. There are no ads, no account to create, and no tracking. Just open it and look around. See our Privacy Policy for the details.

Which devices does it run on?

Nook is an iPhone app and requires iOS 18 or later. An Android version isn't available yet.

How are events chosen, and can I suggest one?

Events come from a curated source and are cached on your device so the app works offline. If you'd like an event listed, get in touch below.
